Morning Tour of Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

On Vatican Museums Tour: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. From 1 April to 31 October: every day (except on Sundays and religious holidays) From 1 November to 31 March: Monday – Friday (also 24 and 31 December) Time: morning Duration: about 4 hours

The tour Vatican Museums begins by coach, passing through Piazza della Repubblica with the Fountain of the Naiadi. We then follow the ancient Aurelian Walls, which once surrounded the ancient city. At Piazza del Popolo you will see an Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramses II. Finally, on arrival at the Vatican Walls, your guide will then lead you into the Vatican Museums. There you visit the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps. Next, you arrive in the famous Sistine Chapel, with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo.

You will not be able to visit the Basilica on Sunday, on the occasion of religious festivals and religious ceremonies (Audiences, Beatifications, Pope’s masses).
