General information

All tours depart from the Green Line office and for your convenience we offer a free minibus pick up service from your hotel to the office. At the end of the tour, the bus will leave you in the vicinity of your hotel (except for tour n. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5/a, 6, 7, 9).

It is important that you wait punctually in the lobby of your hotel for our representative, who will accompany you to the Green Line bus and, as we have a schedule to follow, our representatives can only wait a few minutes. If our representative has difficulty in finding you or you are not punctual, we can not accept any responsibility for eventual cost of transportation to our office. At certain times there may be unavoidable delays in the arranged pick up times but we kindly ask that you wait patiently in the lobby of your hotel.

On arrival at the Green Line office, you will be shown to the particular bus for your specific tour in your language and an assistant will collect your ticket, which we remind you to bring with you. During the course of your tour, it is imperative that you follow the instructions of your guide, especially in crowded places, and that you first inform the guide if at any time you decide to leave the tour so as to avoid keeping the rest of the group waiting.

We cannot accept any responsibility if you become separated from your tour. Please note that all tours may be conducted in more than one language. Visit to the shops is not compulsory. 

The access to the bus is permitted for little and medium domestic animals only if they are inoffensive and respect the following features. On the understanding that the driver can deny the access of the animal on the bus any time in case he thinks that the animal might damage or compromise the bus and passengers security. In this case, it can be excluded also in a second moment, with no right to have a refund of the ticket, at the incontestable discretion of the Green Line Tours Staff. Using muzzle and leash is mandatory, as alternative to the muzzle it is possible to use a pet carrier. The domestic animals with particular anatomical, physiological and pathological conditions that prevent them from the use of muzzles must travel inside a pet carrier. The holder must assure that the pet carrier is not in a poor state, that it does not contain food, that it is in excellent cleaning condition and that it cannot damage other people on the bus. The holder must also assure that the animal does not disturb or damage other passengers or the staff on the bus and that it does not get the bus dirty, the penalty will be the full reimbursement of the damage. The owner or the holder of the animal is liable for the damage caused by the animal according to the article 2051 cc.

Tours of Rome and surrounding area

The cost includes:

  • Transportation in tourist busses;
  • Assistance of a multilingual local guide;
  • Entrance fees;
  • Meals as mentioned (drinks excluded except tour 12);
  • Value Added Tax at 22%.

Excursions of one or more days outside Rome

The cost includes:

  • Transportation in tourist busses;
  • Assistance of a multilingual tour leader for the duration of the tour;
  • Local guides;
  • Entrance fees;
  • Meals included as mentioned (drinks excluded);
  • Boat or hydrofoil to and from the Isle of Capri (excluding the cost of baggage handling);
  • Hotel accommodation in first or second category hotels with bath or shower;
  • Value Added Tax at 21%.

The authorities of the Isle of Capri have established that as of January 1st 2012 a city tax will be charged to the customer of EURO 4,00 per person per night for clients staying at the Hotel. This city tax is not included in the rate of the room and is an additional local governmental charge, has to be paid directly at the hotel in cash only. The city tax applies for the first five (5) nights only and children up to ten (10) years old are exempted.


Children up to 12 years of age free on hop on hop off tour , from 13 years to 20 years a reduction price on hop on hop off tour.

Children up to 5 years of age free on all city tours, from 6 years to 14 years a discount of 20% on all city tours and without overnight.


The prices of the tours may be modified in the event of unforeseen increases in the cost of services.

Cancellations, changes and liability

We, Green Line Tours, reserve the right to cancel a tour without prior notice due to reasons beyond our control with the only obligation of reimbursing the cost of the tour (Art. 10 of the International Convention relating to tour contracts, C.C.V. of April 23/1970 notified by law no. 1084 of 27.12.1977). In the event of unforeseen schedule or itinerary changes beyond our control, we reserve the right to give no reimbursement for the money paid. We are not responsible for any loss of personal items which are left on our tour buses, or for any damage caused by third parties to personal items or to clients during the tours. We are also not responsible for partial or total closure of museums, monuments or churches, delays or irregularities caused by third parties.

Penalty charges for cancellations will be applied as follows:

For Tours of Rome and surroundings with no overnight accommodation:

  • Up to 24 hours / one working day prior to departure: no penalty.
  • Less than 24 hours prior to departure: 100% penalty.
  • No show: 100% penalty.

For Tours with overnight accommodation:

  • Up to 2 working days prior to departure: no penalty.
  • Less than 48 hours prior to departure: 50% penalty.
  • Less than 24 hours prior to departure: 100% penalty.
  • No show: 100% penalty.


This tour program is valid from 1st January to 31st December 2022.

Customer care

Clients must notify Green Line Tours in writing any complaints regarding the tours or services taken as well as any complaints regarding the organisation itsel or its’ failure to provide any aspect included in the tour/service description. All complaints should be made in writing no more than 10 days after the date of the tour/service.
