Tour description

With an average turnout of 6 and a half million visitors in a year, the Vatican Museums are considered the largest and the most incredible art collection in the world.

This tour starts exactly here, meeting our professional local guide and discovering the beauty and the charm of these Museums. So taking the beautiful Spiral staircase and continuing through the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps, you will even arrive in the famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo.

After the visit of the museums, before leaving Vatican City, you will have time to visit the St.Peter’s Basilica with its beautiful decorations and its artistic masterpieces.

Then, after a short panoramic ride by our Open bus, you will have a lunch break in a local restaurant in the city center of Rome, and in the early afternoon, we will arrive by bus to the Ancient Appian Way, where  the chapel of “Domine quo vadis” is located, in order to visit one of the catacombs of this area (San Callisto or Santa Domitilla or San Sebastiano), the first Christians cemetery, dating back to the 2nd and the 4th century A.D.

After the visit, the tour continues by coach along the Via Cristoforo Colombo, reaching the Scala Sancta, with an explanation given outdoors. We then continue the visit with the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran (visit inside) and the Basilica of St. Mary Major (visit inside). The tour ends with a view of the Esquiline Hill.

Ottimo servizio, bus puntuali e puliti. Norme covid rispettate e personale a bordo gentile ed educato. Domenica c'era una ragazza di nome Chiara ed è stata veramente disponibile e ci ha fornito delle indicazioni sulla città, insomma una perfetta cicerona. Sicuramente replicheremo
